Bruno Miguel Fernandes de Carvalho, MD PhD is a Neurosurgery Graduate Hospital Assistant at the Neurosurgery Department of Centro Hospitalar Universitário São João, Oporto, Portugal.
Dedicated to Neurosurgical Oncology, specifically glioma, meningioma and schwannoma surgery, with particular experience and expertise in surgery with neuromonitoring and awake craniotomies. He has also organised courses in advanced intraoperative ultrasound in neurosurgery, with internationally renowned speakers, animal models and live surgery.
He has taken the following advanced training courses that stand out:

– Fellow in Functional Mapping, Cortical and Subcortical Stimulation in Neuro-Oncology / Awake Surgery. November 2015. Montpellier (Prof. Hugues Duffau).
In addition to his clinical activity, he also carries out scientific and academic work at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and I3S (Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde). He completed his PhD in Clinical Neurosciences and has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto since 2022.
